Some of our employees tell us it was the great care they or a family member recieved at one of our hospitals that prompted them to apply for a job with Provena. Here is one such story:
I was sick some years back, diagnosed with cancer. After I went through chemotherapy, I noticed I had a hard time breathing. So I came to Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center through the Emergency Department and was admitted for at least a week and a half.
Within that week, I received the best care from the staff, and even found a great Oncologist. I had surgery and was told my trouble breathing was a reaction from chemotherapy, which left me with lung fibrosis. If I did not go to Provena, I would have not been writing this now!
As a result of the great care I received, I loved the hospital and all of my caregivers so much that I applied for a job here! I have been with Provena almost four years now! I never got a chance to say thanks!
